The former Opinion Editor of the Forward, the largest Jewish media outlet in the United States, she has written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, the New York Review of Books Daily, and Foreign Policy. She has also appeared frequently on MSNBC, NBC, the Brian Lehrer Show, and National Public Radio. She attended high school in Israel and holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
